Subrogation Demand to Responsible Party

Send toResponsible party
WhenThey have no known insurance, or you're after the balance

💡 When to use it

Send this demand straight to the person or business responsible when you don't have their insurance information, or when they may be uninsured. It asks for payment and pushes them to get their own insurer involved.

  • Let the documents do the arguing. Describe what happened and point to the enclosed reports. Don't call them negligent.
  • Leave the policy and claim number lines blank. If they have insurance, the blanks prompt them to fill it in and pass it along.
  • Push the letter to their insurer. Many people don't realize their homeowner's, renter's, auto, or business policy may cover damage they caused to someone else's property.
  • Set a 30-day response date and diary it. No response is your cue for the follow-up letter or collections.

✉️ The letter
